Hi Folks! This page is here to simply inform you of the most common mistakes people make
when composing and purchasing a Contact Solo Advertisement. I've written many, I've
purchased many, and I've sent hundreds for customers, so I know of which I speak.

If you want to get the best bang for your buck, be sure to read below.
Purchasing a Solo Ad

If you are considering purchasing Solos from a particular site, make SURE that they can provide you with proof
that your Solo(s) are being delivered. Do not purchase from anyone who does not have their safelists or mailing list
join link listed on the site. Also, join a couple of the safelists so that you may see your ad being delivered to you.
Use your good address as your contact address.

Some sites charge much higher prices for their Solos. Don't let this fool you into thinking their Solos are
necessarily more responsive. The price of the Solo Ads is not an indicator of quality of service. Some sites have
higher expenses than others, and pass those costs on to the customers. Conversely, other sites have lower expenses
and are much more reasonable. All Contact Solo Ad response rates are basically the same...they are VERY
responsive.

Another thing you need to consider is how many hosting domains your Solo will be sent through. Due to
Auto-Submitters, any ONE person can be a member of every list they have, and will be counted as 100 members,
not just ONE.  Here is an example: Lets say 123 Solos sends your Solo to 80,000 Members on 100 Safelists,
through one hosting domain...well yes, the total number of members would be 80,000, but there would likely be only
8000 DIFFERENT Members on those lists.....so your Solo is going to 8,000 people, not 80,000. However, if 123
Solos lists came from a few different hosting domains, the number of DIFFERENT recipients would be much higher
because the safelist members would come from a variety of sources. So basically, the more hosting domains the site
lists, the better for you.

Also, there are some sites popping up out there which, by using very vague text, will give you the idea that you can
send your offer to many millions of willing customers who will SEE it, but that simply does not happen. They
generall don't have a Contact link, nor a list of recipients. The only link is a payment link. They just want your
money.

VERY IMPORTANT:   Track your ads! Use a free URL Tracker so that you will know how many times your URL is
clicked on in any particular Solo. Go
HERE to get as many as you like, for free.

If you can afford it, try to avoid purchasing a One Day Solo from any particular Solo site. The reason for this is
because repetition is the key to success in advertising. In other words, if a person sees your ad today, and thinks
about clicking on it, but doesn't...chances are that when they see your ad tomorrow, they will click. The
responsiveness of your ad can be affected by many things....the time of day, the day of the week, and even the
weather (believe it or not). The best days to advertise are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Personally,
I have usually received more response after advertising for two to three days.

If you are undecided as to whether or not to purchase from a particular Solo site, send a question to Admin and see
when you get a reply. You should allow 16 hours maximum (allowing for sleep, time zone difference, and other
obligations). If they take longer than 24 hours....I would think twice. If they don't have a Contact Link, do NOT
purchase from them at all.

Do NOT use an AOL address as your contact address with the Solo site. Their confirmations they send you may be
blocked by AOL. Therefore, you may mistakenly think your Solo has not been sent.

And JUST AS IMPORTANT.....

Composing a Solo Ad

Do not make your subject line longer than 7 words because 7 words is about as much as anyone can see in their email
account while scanning their email. Those 7 words should simply make people curious enough to read your email.
Avoid over-use of *** or ###, or similar symbols as they take up space. However one or two of them do help draw
attention to your ad.

Your Solo Ad should be no more than three paragraphs. If a person clicks on your email, they can see (from the bar
on the right) how long it is. If they feel that they have to put too much time into reading your ad, they simply won't.
Simply give the reader the basics of what you are offering....just enough to make them curious to click on your URL.

Always DO include the http:// in your URL......Always!

Be VERY particular about your spelling and grammar, and DO NOT double space the entire ad...too much scrolling
for the reader.

Do NOT simply copy and paste from your website...people can tell. Take the time to put your offer into your own
words as this will bring a much better response
